NH2-PEG-Epoxide, also known as Epoxy-PEG-Amine or Amine PEG Epoxides, is a ternary copolymer composed of amino groups (-NH2), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and epoxy groups (Epoxides). This compound has various properties and applications due to its chemical structure.

First of all, the presence of amino groups (-NH2) enables NH2-PEG-Epoxide to react with multiple groups, including other amino groups, carboxyl groups, phosphate groups, etc., thus enabling it to bind to various molecules and cell surfaces. This reactivity provides broad space for the application of NH2-PEG-Epoxide in fields such as biology and materials science.

Secondly, the introduction of polyethylene glycol (PEG) increases the water solubility of NH2-PEG-Epoxide, enabling it to stably exist and function in aqueous solutions. PEG also has good biocompatibility, making NH2-PEG-Epoxide able to reduce immune responses and toxicity when applied in vivo.

In addition, the presence of epoxy groups (Epoxides) endows NH2-PEG-Epoxide with the ability to react with multiple molecules, including amino groups, hydroxyl groups, thiols, etc. This makes NH2-PEG-Epoxide able to act as a linking molecule to connect different biomolecules and form complexes with specific functions.
